A senior structural engineering role with a well-respected consulting engineering firm in Manchester, offering a range of exciting projects from small specialist works to £90m housing developments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver structural solutions for buildings, including steel, concrete, timber, masonry and aluminium.
- Plan and supervise staging and temporary structures for events such as the Brit Awards, the Oasis Concert and marquees at the Chelsea Flower Show.
- Provide structural advice on diverse schemes: escalator upgrades in shopping centres, demolition projects, low-rise apartment blocks, hospitals, Grade II listed building conversions, façade changes and commercial building extensions.
- Attend site visits, design meetings and deliver hands-on design work and detailed technical reports.
- Collaborate with other regional offices, participating in CPD sessions and team socials.
Qualifications:
- Several years of building design experience.
- Chartered Engineer status or progression toward it.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Experience with Scia or Masterseries software preferred.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
