We are representing an industry leading consultancy, who are looking to grow their team in central Manchester. The ideal candidate will be a Principal or Senior Structural/Civil Engineer to assist in delivering high-quality projects across the UK. This is a technical leadership role where you’ll take ownership of structural and civil design, lead projects from concept through construction, and act as the main C&S consultant for clients and design teams. You’ll manage workloads, mentor junior engineers, oversee quality and QA, and play a key role in project programming, fees, and financial control. You’ll be client-facing, commercially aware, and confident working collaboratively across disciplines, with opportunities to support business growth through repeat work and new client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver Structural/Civil Engineering designs across all project stages
  • Manage projects, programmes, fees, and budgets
  • Mentor and supervise graduate and junior engineers
  • Act as lead C&S consultant and primary client contact
  • Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, and bids
  • Ensure QA, H&S, and company standards are met
  • Contribute to business development and client retention

About You

  • Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE) or working toward
  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Strong track record in project delivery and technical leadership
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, TEDDS, and MS Office
  • Right to work in the UK (driving licence advantageous)
