I am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer / Project Engineer to join a leading contractor delivering a major reinforced concrete frame project in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with a solid RC Frame background who is looking to take ownership of engineering and technical delivery on a large-scale construction scheme.
THE ROLE
Working closely with the Project Manager and Design Team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the concrete frame package from pre-construction through to completion.
DUTIES
- Managing and coordinating all engineering aspects of the RC Frame works
- Liaising directly with the design consultants, subcontractors, and site management team
- Reviewing drawings, resolving technical queries, and ensuring buildability
- Carrying out material take-offs and assisting with procurement requirements
- Producing and reviewing technical calculations relating to concrete frame construction
- Preparing and reviewing RAMS and method statements
- Ensuring quality control and compliance with specifications
- Supporting programme delivery and maintaining site records
- Mentoring junior engineers where required
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience working on RC Frame projects
- Previous experience as a Senior Engineer or Project Engineer on large construction schemes
- Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete structures
- Ability to interpret drawings and coordinate with design teams
- Experience with material take-offs, temporary works, and engineering calculations
- Knowledge of QA procedures, method statements, and site documentation
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
