Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer

  • Delivering planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across site
  • Diagnosing faults on both mechanical and electrical systems, including motors and drives
  • Responding to breakdowns quickly to maximise uptime and minimise disruption
  • Carrying out repairs and inspections on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase OEE and productivity
  • Working closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules
  • Recording all maintenance activities within the CMMS system
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
  • Supporting wider team activities, including holiday and absence cover

Experience & Qualifications - Maintenance Engineer

  • Time-served, multi-skilled engineering background (mechanical bias)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems (PPM/TPM)
  • Understanding of hydraulics and industrial systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail

Desirable (not essential):

  • Experience with CNC machinery
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing tools (5S, TPM, continuous improvement)
