We are currently on the look out for a Fire Extinguisher Engineer to carry out the servicing, maintenance, and installation of portable fire extinguishers across a range of client sites. The role is field based and involves working independently as well as within a small team, ensuring all work is completed in line with current fire safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and install portable fire extinguishers in accordance with BS 5306 standards
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits
- Complete accurate certification, service records, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all work meets current fire safety regulations and company quality standards
- Provide a professional and customer-facing service on client premises
- Manage and maintain stock and equipment within the company vehicle
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding completed works and recommendations
- Support occasional working away assignments as required (typically 2–3 days per month; some months this won’t be required) with all travel, accommodation, and meal expenses covered
- Maintain strict adherence to health & safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in fire extinguisher servicing or fire protection engineering
- FIA qualifications (or equivalent) desirable, though training can be provided
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Confident communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence required
