Responsibilities:
- Installing, maintaining, and commissioning fire alarm systems such as Advanced, C‑Tec, Protec, and Gent
- Conducting emergency lighting maintenance and installation
- Ensuring compliance with BS5839-1, BS5839-6, and BS5266 standards
- Participating in the on‑call standby rota (currently 1 week in 5)
- Providing effective problem‑solving and decision‑making in the field
- Communicating effectively with clients and team members
- Maintaining a high standard of work with attention to detail
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fire alarm maintenance/installation/commissioning
- Full UK driving licence (clean)
- Good working knowledge of BS5839-1, BS5839-6, BS5266
- FIA qualifications (FIA Units or Foundation route)
- Electrical Level 3 technical and vocational qualification
- BAFE Fire Extinguisher Technician Diploma
- Ability to pass a DBS check
- Strong leadership and teamwork qualities
- Effective problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic
- Good attendance record
