Location: Maldon, Essex

Hours: 42 hrs/week, Mon–Fri 8:00–17:30 (1 hr unpaid lunch), additional hours may be required during peak periods

Role: Seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead a busy Construction service department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing service staff
  • Maintaining customer relations
  • Ensuring departmental profitability
  • Facilitating communication between management, technicians, and clients

Key Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of construction engineering; experience with Merlo, Hyundai, Bomag, Thwaites or similar is advantageous
  • Previous management/supervisor experience in a service environment
  • Ability to mentor and oversee technicians
  • Understanding of P&L, KPIs, and manufacturer warranty systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to multitask
  • Able to handle staff matters confidently and confidentially
  • Customer‑focused with the ability to manage expectations
  • Able to work autonomously and use initiative
  • Good general health, fitness, and professional appearance
