Site based Maintenance Plumber – Birmingham – Healthcare.
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently seeking skilled Maintenance Plumbers with a solid background in plumbing maintenance within the facilities management industry to join a leading organization within the healthcare sector. Your role will involve diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures to uphold optimal functionality and exceed client expectations.
Schedule
- Day Shift Position – Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
- Shift Position – 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern: 2×7:00 am – 7:00 pm day shifts, followed by 2×7:00 pm – 7:00 am night shifts, followed by 4 days off. (Site based in Birmingham)
Package
- Day Shift Position: Competitive salary up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Shift Position: Competitive salary up to £38,000 per annum (depending on experience), including a £3,000 shift allowance
- Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on‑call rota (to be confirmed)

Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and rectify leaks, clogs and other issues promptly.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks to proactively address potential breakdowns and extend the lifespan of plumbing equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults efficiently, including leaks, blockages and damaged pipes.
- Conduct installations, replacements and upgrades of plumbing fixtures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with other maintenance personnel and external contractors to coordinate repairs and renovations seamlessly.
- Uphold stringent safety protocols and adhere to regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment for all.
Qualifications
- Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
- Proven track record as a Maintenance Plumber or similar role within the facilities management sector.
- In‑depth knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures and materials, coupled with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
