What You Will Do:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the maintenance schedule, including inspections, servicing, and replacement of wear components.
  • Complete total preventative maintenance (TPM) by monitoring equipment condition and actioning routine checks such as temperature, vibration, noise, and leaks.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical faults during the night shift to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain and manage critical spare parts inventory levels to ensure parts are available when breakdowns happen.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, breakdown details, root causes, and corrective actions in the maintenance management system.
  • Prepare equipment, tools, and materials for planned site improvement and cap ex projects, supporting continuous improvement on the shop floor.

What You Will Bring:

  • A BTEC Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Understanding of TPM and PPM systems, plus familiarity with COSHH.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to repair production equipment safely and effectively.
  • Basic IT capability, with confidence using tools such as Outlook and Excel.

This Maintenance Engineer position helps the company deliver products and solutions to customers by protecting production equipment and facilities during the night shift. The work directly supports safe operations, high standards of housekeeping, and compliance with health and safety procedures, including lock out tag out (LOTO). With a focus on proactive maintenance and continuous improvements, this is a role that supports reliable delivery at every stage, from initial design support through to final sign-off.

TheMaintenance Engineer role is based on-site in the local manufacturing environment where night shift cover is required.
