Maintenance Engineer
Alchem Partners is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join an existing maintenance team for a family owned chemical manufacturing business in the Northwest.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and execute repairs promptly to minimise downtime.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Carry out scheduled work tasks and reports.
- Welding & fabrication duties.
- Manage stock of components and fittings, reordering as required.
- Operation of CMMS system.
- Completion of PPMs.
- Liaise with supplier reps.
- Maintain accurate service records and history reports.
- Understand and comply with ‘lockout tagout’ procedures, COMAH etc.
- Any other reasonable duties relevant to the role.
Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above in Engineering.
- Knowledge of FMCGs machinery.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a general engineering role.
Salary of £40,138 per annum plus overtime paid at time and a half, with an average of 25 hours of overtime available per month.
