Working within a large engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This is an ideal role for an engineer who thrives in a hands‑on environment and is keen to drive improvements.
You will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault‑finding, and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on a range of high‑speed production and packaging machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM)
- Respond to breakdowns and perform rapid fault diagnosis
- Maintain and repair production and packaging equipment
- Record all maintenance activity to support asset history and reliability
- Work to high engineering and safety standards, including food‑safe practices
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Conveyors, belts, bearings, and chains
- Packaging machinery
- Drives, sensors, inverters, and motors
- Conveyor breakdowns and jams
- Faulty sensors causing stoppages
- Oven temperature issues
- Packaging machine misfeeds
- Pneumatic failures
