Our Client is a well‑run and expanding 2nd Tier Contractor looking for an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveyor to support a long‑term framework of construction based new build and refurbishment projects in the commercial, residential and government sectors. Projects typically range from £1 million to £15 million. This is a genuinely great place to work with an excellent working environment.

The ideal candidate will already be working in a similar quantity surveying role on the mechanical and electrical side. This is an exceptional role with an exciting company and is not just about pricing but about meeting clients and stakeholders on a regular basis.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of detailed mechanical and electrical estimates across a range of projects
  • Take‑offs and pricing for HVAC, pipework, plant and associated mechanical services
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Creating cost plans, value engineering options and tender submissions
  • Helping with project bids
  • Helping manage quality delivery
Qualifications
  • Good experience within building services or construction
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and installation methods
  • Experience working with drawings, specifications and estimating software
