Board Member - Asset Management, Building Safety and Landlord Compliance
£7,000 per annum plus reasonable expenses

Golding Homes is looking for a new Board member with strong strategic asset management expertise, including building safety and landlord compliance, to help shape the future of our organisation and the homes and services we provide across Kent.

As a Board member, you will contribute to strategy, scrutiny, assurance and collective decision‑making. You will help the Board gain confidence that Golding is meeting its strategic objectives, managing risk effectively and complying with its legal, regulatory and landlord obligations.
We are particularly interested in candidates with substantial senior leadership experience in the social housing sector and deep knowledge of strategic asset management, building safety, landlord compliance, decarbonisation, retrofit investment and major investment programme oversight. You will bring a strong focus, understanding what property, compliance and safety issues mean for customers and communities.
You will be confident in providing constructive, evidence‑based challenge on risk, cost, quality, compliance and performance. Previous non‑executive or Board‑level experience is desirable, as is experience of working within a regulated organisation and contributing to good governance, assurance and accountability.
Board meetings usually take place in person at County Gate in Maidstone, Kent, at least five times a year, generally late afternoon on a Thursday. There are also two Board away days each year.
