My client in the Loughborough area require 2 Experienced Mechanical Fitters.

Duties of the Role

  • Support mechanical assembly and installation activities in line with company standards.
  • Work as part of a team to fit, assemble, and install mechanical components and systems.
  • Follow engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Maintain quality and safety across all tasks and interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Work to Wilmott Group procedures and systems, adhering to ISO9001, ISO45001, and ISO14001 standards.
  • Follow all organisational policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed.
  • Co-operate and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Wear the correct PPE at all times on site.
  • Use Cranes, Scissor Lifts, and Forklifts safely and appropriately.
  • Mechanically fit components and assemblies in line with technical drawings.
  • Ensure use of correct fixings, tools, and methods to meet quality standards.
  • Produce high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
  • Provide progress updates and report issues to the Team Leader.
  • Ensure compliance with production schedules and safety management systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar mechanical role.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Skilled in the use of power tools and lifting equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
