I'm currently working with a growing independent transport planning consultancy in London that is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to support the continued expansion of its development planning team.
The Role
- You will be responsible for managing and delivering transport planning projects from initial feasibility through to planning consent, working on residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, education and regeneration developments.
- Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
- Supporting planning applications for a range of development projects.
- Managing project delivery and client relationships.
- Liaising with local authorities, developers and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
- Supporting business development and proposal preparation.
- Attending client meetings and stakeholder consultations.
About You
- We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience within a transport planning consultancy environment.
- A strong background in development planning.
- Excellent report writing and technical skills.
- Experience producing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and supporting documents.
- A good understanding of UK planning policy and transport guidance.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- A relevant degree qualification.
- For Principal level applicants, experience leading projects, managing client relationships and contributing to business development activities would be advantageous.
