The successful candidate will be offered a permanent position or may be engaged on a long‐term freelance basis. We are working alongside a successful London‐based main building contractor with offices in North West London. Due to a significant increase in tender enquiries over the past 18 months, they are keen to recruit a talented Senior Estimator.

The contractor specialises in both private and publicly funded sectors, with a core focus on the luxury prime residential market, delivering schemes ranging from £5m to £30m. The business is exceptionally well managed and has built a strong reputation for delivering high‐quality projects on time and within budget, resulting in a substantial amount of repeat business.

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for the preparation and submission of quantified tenders based on specifications, drawings, or bills of quantities. This will include completing pre‐qualification questionnaires, attending pre‐tender meetings, and participating in internal handover meetings.

Key Duties:
  • Prepare annotated, computerised schedules and Bills of Quantities from client specifications and drawings
  • The Senior Estimator will be expected to prepare and price tenders from client‐issued or internally prepared Bills of Quantities
  • Prepare and issue material enquiries
  • Analyse supplier quotations
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers as required during the tender process
  • Work with the site team during project handover and assist with the distribution of tender documents for secured projects
Key Attributes:
  • Background in main contracting
  • Experience in both new build and refurbishment tendering
  • Ability to prepare Bills of Quantities from specifications and drawings
  • Familiarity with computerised estimating software
