The contractor, a Tier 2 Main Contractor specialising in complex cut & carve refurbishment projects across London, is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for a technically challenging hospitality refurbishment project near Bank, City of London.
Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial lifecycle of the project from procurement to final account.
- Procure and negotiate subcontract packages.
- Prepare and manage cost reports and forecasts.
- Manage interim valuations and client applications.
- Administer variations and change control procedures.
- Commercially manage subcontractors, including payments and final accounts.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and site team to ensure financial and operational performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants.
Requirements
- 4-8 years' experience working with a main contractor.
- Proven experience operating at Project Quantity Surveyor level.
- Strong experience delivering refurbishment, cut & carve, or structural alteration projects.
- Hospitality, commercial, or similar sector experience.
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Excellent commercial acumen and communication skills.
- Experience working on projects within Central London is desirable.
