Location: Remote – occasional travel to your local office (London, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow). 6‑month rolling contract. £65 per hour Umbrella – Inside IR35 only.

ARM is recruiting for an experienced Principal Pipeline Engineer to support major projects across the power, utilities, oil & gas, and process industries sectors.

Pipeline Projects

  • Natural gas transmission
  • Hydrogen infrastructure
  • CO2 pipelines
  • Carbon capture and wider energy transition developments

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll support projects from feasibility and FEED through to detailed design, construction and operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pipeline and AGI engineering designs and calculations
  • Lead feasibility, concept, FEED and detailed design activities
  • Undertake pipeline routing and high‑pressure pipeline studies
  • Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation
  • Support 3D model and plant layout development
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to bids, proposals and technical leadership activities

About You

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered status (or working towards CEng/IEng)
  • Experience in pipeline and AGI design
  • Strong knowledge of IGEM/TD/1 and TD/13
  • Experience with high‑pressure gas or energy infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks and BIM360
  • Strong understanding of piping codes, standards and engineering calculations
