O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a leading international main contractor delivering a portfolio of hyperscale data centre projects across Scandinavia. These are large, technically complex builds with significant MEP scopes, delivered in fast-paced, highly regulated environments for major global clients.
They are seeking to appoint an MEP Quantity Surveyor (or a Quantity Surveyor with strong MEP package exposure) to join their commercial team. The role will focus on managing major mechanical and electrical packages across large-scale data centre schemes, with full commercial responsibility and excellent long-term progression opportunities within an international delivery team. This is a site-based role in Scandinavia and will require full relocation. The package includes accommodation, subsistence, and one return flight per month to the UK.
Role Overview- Project: Hyperscale Data Centres
- Location: Sweden/Scandinavia (Relocation Required)
- Salary: £75,000 – £100,000 + Package
- Start: ASAP but can wait for the right candidate
- Type: Permanent
- Managing procurement and commercial delivery of major MEP packages (mechanical, electrical, fit‑out interfaces)
- Supporting full subcontract lifecycle including tendering, negotiation, variations and final accounts
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and monthly valuations across large-scale data centre projects
- Working closely with project, design and commissioning teams on complex MEP interfaces
- Managing change control and commercial risk across multiple subcontractors
- Supporting contract administration under main contract and subcontract arrangements
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with exposure to MEP packages (mechanical, electrical or building services)
- Main contractor or specialist subcontractor background considered
- Strong understanding of subcontract management, valuations and change control
- Experience working on large-scale, complex construction projects (data centres, pharma, industrial, or similar advantageous)
- Must be open to relocation to Scandinavia and site-based working
- Strong commercial mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment
