Role Overview
Materials Project Manager – lead innovative product development programmes for advanced materials technologies.
Location: South London / Surrey border (On‑site with some flexibility)
Responsibilities
- Lead materials development projects from concept through to launch
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams across development, testing and production
- Manage project plans, milestones, risks and technical deliverables
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support scale‑up and implementation
- Review technical data, troubleshoot issues and guide decisions
- Support innovation across polymer materials and next‑product applications
- Collaborate with international teams and travel overseas as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Background in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Polymer Science, Product / Materials Development or Technical Project Engineering / NPI
- Experience with polymer materials or related advanced materials
- Experience in materials or formulation development in an industrial setting
- Project leadership or coordination of technical development programmes
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with suppliers, engineering and manufacturing teams
- Exposure to NPI, scale‑up or product development
- A commercial mindset around performance, cost and delivery
