If you’re an experienced HVAC/AirCon Engineer who specialises in maintenance and repair, enjoys fault‑finding, autonomy, and being trusted to do the job properly - this role is for you.

This opportunity is with a long‑established and recognisable retail bakery brand where you will be responsible for AirCon systems across 100+ retail sites around North West London, Home Counties to the South Coast, plus their central production unit. The business is investing in long‑term, in‑house technical expertise, bringing AirCon support internal - meaning you will become the go‑to AirCon specialist across the estate, trusted to manage breakdowns, prioritise work, and structure your own days.

The Package

  • Up to £50k salary (DOE)
  • Door‑to‑door pay (key to key)
  • Company van + fuel card (kept at home)
  • 40 hours per week (5 days out of 7)
  • Set your own schedule – autonomy over your workload

Day to Day

  • Reactive aircon breakdowns and emergency call‑outs
  • Fault‑finding and diagnostics on aircon systems
  • Working on Extraction fans & ducting
  • Repairs to commercial fridges/freezers, walk‑in cold rooms, and store air conditioning
  • Maintenance of refrigeration, food storage and air conditioning systems
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)

The Requirements

  • Proven commercial experience across AC
  • VRF/VRV and/or Split Systems experience
  • Knowledge of Digital thermostats & Controllers (e.g. Carel or Danfoss systems)
  • F‑Gas certification (essential)
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic ability
  • Health & Safety knowledge
  • Experience working independently and managing your own schedule
  • Full UK driving licence
