We're working with a well-established London fit out contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality Cat A and Cat B commercial office projects across the capital. Due to continued growth and an expanding order book, they're looking to strengthen their Pre-Construction team with the appointment of either an ambitious Assistant Estimator ready to take the next step or an experienced Estimator looking to progress into a Senior Estimator position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that's actively expanding into the Cut & Carve and Structural Refurbishment market, including façade and external works, offering genuine long-term career progression.

You'll report directly to the Head of Pre-Construction and play a key role in securing a diverse range of commercial projects across London.

The Role

You'll be responsible for producing competitive and commercially viable tenders from enquiry through to submission, working closely with clients, supply chain partners and the wider pre-construction team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial fit out and refurbishment projects
  • Completing detailed plan take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
  • Issuing subcontractor enquiries and analysing quotations
  • Producing comprehensive tender submissions
  • Carrying out cost analysis and benchmarking
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities without compromising quality
  • Liaising with clients, consultants and internal teams throughout the tender process
  • Supporting successful project handovers to delivery teams

About You

We're interested in speaking with candidates from a variety of commercial construction backgrounds, including:

  • Cat A & Cat B Commercial Fit Out
  • Shell & Core
  • Cut & Carve

You'll ideally have experience with:

  • BOQs and measurement
  • Plan take-offs
  • Subcontractor procurement and pricing
  • Cost planning and tender preparation
  • Value engineering
  • Excel and estimating software such as Causeway or Bluebeam
