The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager with strong Mechanical knowledge to join a major project based in Blackwall, London. This position is with a well-established contractor delivering complex works within the data centre sector, offering the opportunity to work on high-value, technically demanding projects within critical environments.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing project delivery within a live data centre environment, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest technical standards. This role requires a Project Manager with proven experience delivering large-scale data centre packages and coordinating multidisciplinary teams within mission-critical environments.
Essential Experience
- Large-scale data suite fit-outs
- Structured cabling and fibre network installations
- End-to-end project delivery within live or critical environments
- Managing complex electrical packages with a strong understanding of mechanical interfaces
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project delivery from pre-construction through to handover
- Coordinate electrical and mechanical installation activities
- Oversee subcontractors, specialist vendors, and site teams
- Ensure delivery in line with programme, budget, and technical specifications
- Maintain strict health & safety and compliance standards within live environments
- Manage commissioning, QA processes, and client reporting
- Liaise closely with stakeholders, consultants, and internal delivery teams
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the data centre sector
- Strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical building services
- Experience working within live or mission-critical environments
- Excellent coordination, programme, and stakeholder management skills
Candidates without relevant large-scale data centre experience will not be considered.
