Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased) to join a commercial property portfolio in Farringdon. This is a static role supporting four commercial office buildings located directly next to each other. You will primarily manage your own building schedule, carrying out a mixture of landlord and tenant maintenance, whilst receiving support from the wider team when required. This position would suit an engineer who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of their workload and has a strong background in commercial building maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and building services systems
- Maintain lighting, power, emergency lighting and electrical distribution systems
- Conduct routine plant room inspections and compliance checks
- Monitor water temperatures and complete water treatment tasks
- Maintain AHUs, FCUs, boilers, water heaters and associated mechanical plant
- Respond to landlord and tenant maintenance requests
- Complete maintenance reports, logbooks and compliance documentation
- Liaise professionally with occupiers, contractors and management teams
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures
Requirements
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Qualification
- Previous experience within commercial building maintenance
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Good understanding of building services plant including AHUs, FCUs and boilers
- Multi-skilled approach with the ability to support general maintenance tasks
- Professional, reliable and client-facing
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
