Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a high-value contract on major infrastructure projects? Do you want to play a leading role in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary engineering solutions with a nationally recognised consultancy? We are seeking two Electrical Engineers to join a leading contractor/consultancy on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role offers a hybrid working model, with offices in London.

The Opportunity

  • £75 per hour (Inside IR35)
  • 6-month contract with strong extension potential
  • Hybrid working (3 days office/site-based) across multiple UK locations
  • Opportunity to work on high-profile, critical infrastructure projects

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on critical UK infrastructure programmes, particularly within the water sector, contributing to innovative and large-scale engineering solutions. You will be part of a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team, with the chance to take ownership of technical delivery while supporting the development of junior engineers.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Leading and coordinating Electrical and ICA design delivery across complex projects
  • Producing high-quality technical deliverables including single line diagrams, load schedules, MCC specifications, and control philosophies
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions
  • Managing project inputs to ensure delivery against timeframes, budgets, and quality standards
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team
  • Providing technical input for bids and proposals
  • Ensuring compliance with design standards, industry regulations, and quality assurance processes

What You Will Bring

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status
  • Solid understanding of industry standards (e.g. WIMES) and design practices
  • Experience with electrical design software such as Trimble or Amtech
  • Knowledge of HAZOP, DSEAR/ATEX, earthing, bonding, and lighting design principles
  • Experience in industrial or process environments - ideally in water
