O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a leading main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their established team, working on a portfolio of prestigious new build residential and mixed-use developments across London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work, delivering high-quality, design-led projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will play a key role in managing the design process across all RIBA stages, working closely with clients, consultants and project delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
You will be joining an experienced and supportive team with excellent opportunities for long-term progression within one of the UK's leading main contractors.
Role Overview- Project: New Build Residential / Mixed-Use Developments
- Location: Shoreditch, London
- Salary: Up to £100,000 + Package
- Start: ASAP but can wait for the right person
- Type: Permanent
- Managing the design process from pre-construction through to project completion across all RIBA stages
- Coordinating consultants, architects and specialist subcontractors to ensure timely design delivery
- Reviewing design information for buildability, compliance, programme and commercial considerations
- Chairing design team meetings and managing the flow of technical information throughout the project lifecycle
- Working closely with operational, commercial and planning teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Identifying design risks and implementing practical solutions to maintain programme and quality objectives
- Experience working as a Design Manager within a main contracting environment
- Strong understanding and practical experience across all RIBA design stages
- Previous experience delivering new build residential and/or mixed-use developments
- Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able and willing to commute to Shoreditch and project locations across London as required
