I am recruiting for a Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join a growing environmental consultancy in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant who wants exposure to high quality development work while building strong technical and planning skills within a supportive team.
This role supports projects across property, renewable energy and aviation, delivering Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and SuDS-led solutions from feasibility through to planning and outline design. As a Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant, you will contribute to early strategy work, design integration within site masterplans and a range of planning submissions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
- Develop SuDS concepts and model drainage networks using InfoDrainage or similar
- Support feasibility studies, outline design and planning documentation
- Liaise with clients, regulators and internal project teams
- Help manage multiple live projects and competing deadlines
- Produce clear, accurate and well structured technical reports
- Around two years UK experience in flood risk or drainage
- Confident user of InfoDrainage or comparable software
- Good understanding of SuDS, NPPF guidance and drainage standards
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Proactive, organised and committed to sustainable design
