We are currently looking for an experienced ATEX Electrician to join a busy engineering project in Llantrisant, working on specialist electrical and control systems within a regulated environment. This is a long-term opportunity working with a well-established engineering contractor delivering electrical, control and instrumentation works across industrial and manufacturing applications.

The Role

  • Working as part of a specialist team carrying out installation, inspection and wiring works within hazardous or controlled environments.
  • Duties will include:
    • Electrical installation and wiring within hazardous / ATEX environments
    • Terminating and installing equipment in line with specifications
    • Working from drawings, schematics and electrical layouts
    • Supporting panel wiring and control system installation where required
    • Ensuring all works are carried out to high safety and compliance standards
    • Adhering to site procedures and permit systems

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience working as an Electrician within industrial or process environments
  • Strong wiring, installation and fault-finding experience
  • Experience working in or around hazardous areas
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Essential

  • Valid ECS / JIB Card
  • CompEx 01–04 (minimum)

Desirable

  • Experience in panel wiring or control systems
  • Background in chemical, manufacturing, energy or heavy industrial sectors

Hours & Duration

  • Start date: Week commencing 8th June
  • 6-month contract (through to December)
  • Standard weekday hours with potential overtime depending on workload

Pay

  • £27.00 – £30.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
  • CIS or LTD payment options available
  • Weekly pay
