Maintenance Technician

Liverpool City Centre

Monday to Friday, 09:30-18:00
ASAP start until 4th September

Our client is seeking a temporary Maintenance Operative to support day-to-day upkeep across a busy Liverpool City Centre site. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical ability, a reliable work ethic, and confidence completing general building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • General maintenance - Carry out routine upkeep and basic repair work across the building.
  • Basic repairs - Replace light fittings, change taps, and complete minor plumbing tasks.
  • Site cleanliness - Ensure all work areas remain clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Manual handling - Assist with moving furniture and materials, including chairs, mattresses, and sofas, working alongside the onsite MT.
  • Issue reporting - Identify and report maintenance concerns promptly to the relevant team members.
  • Health & safety compliance - Follow all site procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Compliance checks - Support with fire door inspections, emergency lighting (EML) testing, and other routine compliance tasks where experience allows.
  • Team support - Assist the wider team with general site duties as required.

Requirements

  • Maintenance experience - Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar role is desirable.
  • Practical skills - Strong hands-on ability with good attention to detail.
  • Teamwork - Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Reliability - Punctual, dependable, and proactive.
  • Communication - Clear and confident communication.
  • Procedural awareness - Ability to follow instructions and adhere to company processes.
