About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Automation Engineer (Rollers Shutters & Doors) to join a growing and dynamic organisation operating across social housing and commercial sectors. This field-based role offers a varied workload including reactive repairs, planned maintenance, servicing, and installation of automated access systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of automatic doors, gates, and barriers while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend reactive call-outs and diagnose faults efficiently.
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on automated systems.
  • Install automatic doors, gates, and barriers to required standards.
  • Conduct site surveys and system inspections.
  • Complete accurate job reports and service documentation.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures and industry regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date records, including timesheets and job information.
  • Participate in an on-call rota and overtime opportunities when required.

Skills & Experience Required

  • ADSA or ADIA accreditation.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with automatic doors, gates, or related automation systems.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work.
