Adecco is recruiting for a Server and Cloud Engineer within the Lincolnshire Police Force.

Location: Nettleham, Lincoln

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £20.93 per hour

End Date: June 2027

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday Between the hours of 08:00am and 16:30pm, Hybrid

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage server and storage technologies.
  • Collaborate with a team of specialists in a 3rd-line capacity, ensuring security standards are met.
  • Monitor system performance and maintain service availability using tools such as SolarWinds.
  • Provide 3rd-line support for IT incidents, communicating effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Participate in solution options analysis and product selection for new systems.
  • Administer and maintain hybrid server and storage technologies.
  • Plan and document effective infrastructure support.
  • Ensure data security through patch management and access control.
  • Work closely with the Information Management Unit and Security Specialists to implement best practices.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud infrastructure (essential).
  • Familiarity with virtualisation technologies such as VMware (essential).
  • Background in working within an ITIL framework (desirable).
  • Ability to diagnose faults and provide technical support (essential).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Qualifications
  • Industry accreditation such as MSITP/MCSE/MCSA (desirable).
  • Degree or equivalent in a technology discipline (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable).
