Client GBR Recruitment Ltd is recruiting exclusively for a leading Agricultural Machinery manufacturer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering team and manage workloads, ensuring the successful delivery of agriculture machinery engineering projects and product improvements.
  • Oversee engineering processes, including Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), BOMs, and project planning.
  • Set timelines for strategic projects and ensure their delivery.
  • Provide accurate costings and quotations for the sales and buying teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement and LEAN methodology, fostering product innovation.
  • Resolve any engineering and product-related issues.
  • Manage performance of the engineering team.
  • Coordinate outsourced engineering services (external specialists).
  • Create and update technical documentation.
  • Support quality systems (QMS) and maintain adherence to ISO standards.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Strong Agricultural Engineering experience at a managerial or supervisory level.
  • Agricultural or other engineering qualifications.
  • Experience within a design and development environment (D&D / DDE).
  • Proficient in managing engineering teams and workloads.
  • Deep understanding of engineering principles and product development.
  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong agricultural engineering project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Lean methodologies is a bonus.
  • Experience with DFMA (Design for Manufacture & Assembly).
  • Familiarity with engineering change systems and project tools.
  • Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities.

Location

This role is commutable from Lincoln City, Market Rasen, Louth, Horncastle, Boston, Sleaford, Skegness, Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe, Grimsby, Spalding, Spilsby, Grantham, Newark, and surrounding areas.
