EXPERIENCED WELDER FABRICATORS NEEDED IN STEVENAGE!! Are you an experienced Welder Fabricator who has experience TIG welding on aluminium and stainless steel, and are you looking for a permanent job on day shifts? We are looking for 2 Welder Fabricators to join a sheet metal manufacturing business in Stevenage. The role is more focused on TIG welding but the hiring manager would like someone who is also able to do some MIG welding as or when required.

The working hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) with overtime available and paid at T1/2. The basic salary will range between £37,500 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) (£18.00 - £21.50 per hour). These are permanent contracts from day 1, and the hiring manager is keen to interview and weld test ASAP.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on various metal components, primarily stainless steel and aluminium, using a wide range of grades and materials up to 6 mm thick.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and sketches to prepare products with accuracy and precision.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures, ensuring high-quality finishes through dressing and fettling.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections prior to welding and quality checks on finished products.
  • Communicate any potential risks to quality and efficiency to the team leader.
  • Follow safety guidelines, perform safety checks, and maintain a clean and organised workspace.

  • Confidence in reading and interpreting technical drawings to produce quality work.
