Overview
A sector leading manufacturer of precision engineered components supplied to the aerospace, defence and high technologies sectors has a new vacancy for a Special Process Lead. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining and developing all aspects of the Quality system processes and procedures, internal/external audits, NADCAP requirements, maintaining compliance and amendments to existing accreditations.
Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert for heat treatments, expert of quality systems and special processes.
- Maintain and develop the QMS.
- Support customer audits and new customer approvals.
- Ensure the technical compliance of all special processes (NDT, HT, Chemical Processing).
- Improvement of the business management systems.
- Management of audit plans and coordinating audit closure.
- Identify and mitigate company risks.
- Company representative for accreditation and certification bodies.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage people and drive improvements in a fast-paced demanding environment.
- Good understanding of AS9100 and Nadcap approvals.
- Ability to make decisions and resolve problems.
- Degree in Materials or Materials Science.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and with all levels of the organisation.
