The role of Senior Project/Contracts Engineer will see you lead design projects once sales handover a won project. Your role will then involve:
- Carrying out customer site inspection to take measurements and ensure the space and layout required for equipment is fit for purpose.
- Ordering the bought out items from suppliers, including control panels, ATEX valves and seals.
- Producing all the drawings for manufacture using AutoCAD. The business has recently purchased Fusion which will see them migrate to 3D design in the longer term.
- Designing key items and components such as ducting, air valves, fans, impellers, and panels for the filters.
- Using AutoCAD to produce overview layouts of how equipment will fit into the customers' plant and plan view layouts.
- Carrying out calculations for air flow, pressure drops, sizing of filters and air volume.
- Maintaining contact with the customer through the design and manufacturing process of the project, taking any change requests through the design process and keeping the client up to speed on project delivery against expectations.
To be successful in your application for this Senior Project/Contracts Engineer role you will need:
- To be comfortable producing 2D detailed sheet metal and fabrication drawings.
- To have experience in the design of bespoke fabricated and sheet metal components.
- To be confident building relationships with customers.
- To want to take responsibility for a whole project from design through project delivery.

- To have a supporting mechanical engineering qualification.
