Qualifications
Essential:
- Previous MIG welding experience
- Fabrication experience
- Sheet metal manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience supervising or leading a team
- Experience monitoring performance and maintaining production output
- Strong understanding of weld quality and inspection standards
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
- Experience conducting staff appraisals and disciplinary procedures
- Health & safety awareness within a manufacturing environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to lead by example
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a Cover Supervisor or Team Leader role
- Formal welding or fabrication qualifications
- Experience training or mentoring staff
- Knowledge of quality control procedures
- Forklift truck licence
- Experience working with production schedules and KPIs
- SSSTS or supervisory qualification
- First Aid qualification
- Experience within architectural or commercial sheet metal manufacturing
- Full UK driving licence
