Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking an experienced Engineer / Electrician to join our Bank team. This flexible role supports the hospital during peak periods, annual leave, and staff absence, helping to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive engineering and maintenance service across the hospital site
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), testing, calibration, and fault finding
- Diagnose and repair faults across plant, equipment, and building systems
- Support installation works and ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently

- Electrical and general building maintenance
- Water systems
- Ventilation systems
- Decontamination equipment
- Medical gas systems
- General engineering duties
Role
You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with HTM guidelines, PPM schedules, and manufacturer instructions at all times.
Qualifications
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant discipline
- Proven experience in building services within a similar environment
- Strong working knowledge of plant and building systems
- Ability to prioritise workloads and respond to changing demands
- Up-to-date understanding of compliance and relevant legislation (or willingness to learn)
