Meridian is seeking a Property Maintenance Engineer to support maintenance and care for completed projects in Leeds and surrounding areas. The role involves proactive PPM and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems in new-build commercial properties.

Requirements

  • Recognised, industry-standard qualification (e.g. Mechanical CSCS, JIB PMES, Electrical JIB card)
  • Mechanical bias required, with some exposure to electrical building services
  • Previous FM/PPM experience, ideally on commercial projects
  • Full UK driving licence – travel involved
  • Experience with BMS controls and basic M&E building services knowledge
  • Desirable M&E qualifications: BS7671 (18th Edition), F-Gas, HVAC qualifications, commercial gas certifications, 2391 Inspection & Testing
  • Ability to work in live environments with customers of various ages and backgrounds

Responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Fault-finding on building services equipment in new-build commercial properties
  • Mechanical and electrical fault-finding, servicing, and PPM for sanitary, power and lighting, HVAC equipment, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and H&S standards
  • Complete job reports, raising evidence and reports of larger issues
  • Liaise with clients and site contacts
  • Participate in on-call rota (if required)
