An established packaging manufacturer in Leeds is looking for an experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join a tight‑knitted maintenance team on a stable, growing site. The role is structured around planned maintenance, reliability improvement and continuous improvement, working across automated processing lines and production equipment.

Scope of Work

  • Electrical – motors, drives, sensors, control panels, PLCs
  • Mechanical – pneumatics, hydraulics, processing lines
  • Systems – PPM schedules, permit to work, safe isolation
  • Projects – commissioning, reliability improvement, continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Multi‑skilled maintenance background in a high‑volume manufacturing environment (food, FMCG or similar)
  • Strong electrical fault‑finding ability: motors, drives, sensors, control panels
  • PLC fault‑finding experience
  • Mechanical skills across pneumatics and hydraulics
  • NVQ Level 3 or relevant apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (18th Edition desirable)
