We are partnering with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor for a pivotal leadership role within their commercial team. The Opportunity

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of 3–4 live projects, providing strategic commercial oversight across a varied portfolio. You will play a key role in ensuring strong commercial performance, risk management, and consistent delivery standards across multiple schemes including commercial buildings, high-rise residential schemes, student accommodation and mixed-use regeneration projects. Project values typically range from £20m to £80m, offering significant scale, complexity, and variety. This role will allow you to genuinely influence outcomes at both project and business level, working closely with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure excellence in delivery.

  • Strong experience as a Senior QS or Managing QS within a main contracting environment
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale projects (£20m+)
  • Experience leading and developing commercial teams
  • Strong contractual knowledge (JCT / Design & Build experience)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Commercially sharp, proactive, and driven by high standards
