Experience / Qualifications:
- Strong experience working within the Asbestos industry
- Will hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalent) as a minimum
- Robust industry technical knowledge, including UKAS and HSG guidelines
- Comfortable leading teams of site staff
- Able to manage own workload
- Good time‑keeping skills
- Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
The Role:
- Oversee the successful completion of asbestos services within the department
- Quality check and audit works, highlighting any areas for improvement
- Directly liaise with clients to discuss project scope and requirements
- Ensure works are completed to agreed frameworks
- Train and support site staff
- Produce detailed technical reports
- Attend site to monitor projects and services
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers
- Process client works orders
- Organise workloads and allocate projects for efficiency
- Conduct ad‑hoc asbestos management, refurbishment and demolition surveys, including air testing and 4‑stage clearances
