- A formal Electronic Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
- Hands‑on fault‑finding skills, SMT soldering skills and experience of working with a range of test equipment.

- Ability to read schematics.
- Familiarity with EMC standards.
- Experience of leading a small team of technicians.
