Role Description:
- Assess risks of human error and provide Human Factors advice
- Perform task analysis
- Work with process authors to improve procedures and reduce risk of unintended outcomes
- Represent Human Factors at design technical reviews
- Conduct design substantiation reviews
- Support Safety Case delivery
- Lead Human Factors programmes of work
Essential Skills:
- Degree in Human Factors, Psychology or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable Human Factors experience
- Experience in delivering Human Factors into safety case in a nuclear setting
- Previous experience of stakeholder management
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring others
- Experience in writing assessment reports and safety cases
Team Overview:
As a Principal Engineer – Human Factors, you will work within the Human Factors Team, focusing on human factors related to the safety of site operations at the Barrow nuclear site and boat programmes. You will be part of a large team supporting submarine programmes and the maintenance of the nuclear site licence. Relocation and relocation support packages are available for suitable candidates.
