KBM Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy workshop team in Kintore.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys hands on work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, assembling and testing a range of mechanical equipment, ensuring all assets are serviced, compliant and ready for operational use.
Key Responsibilities
- Dismantle, inspect, repair, refurbish and reassemble equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
- Complete routine servicing, preventative maintenance and testing.
- Carry out pressure testing and functional checks where required.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Support the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment.
- Safely operate workshop tools, machinery and lifting equipment.
- Assist with general workshop duties, including loading and unloading equipment.
- Support stores and stock control activities when required.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the workshop.
- Work in line with company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
About You
- NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent hands on experience).
- Previous experience in a mechanical fitting or workshop environment.
- Good understanding of mechanical maintenance and fault finding.
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
