I’m working directly with a growing main contractor based near Ebbsfleet who are looking to bring in a Quantity Surveyor due to continued project wins and a steadily expanding pipeline. This is a business that’s grown quickly over the last 7–8 years to around £25m turnover, but importantly, they’re not trying to grow recklessly. The growth is now more controlled and stable, with a strong order book already in place. The business was set up by people who came from larger contractor environments and they’re open to candidates from both Tier 1 and Tier 2 backgrounds - but equally, this could suit someone from a smaller contractor who wants better exposure and support.
The Role
- Working within an established commercial team currently made up of 3 QSs
- Looking after retail accounts and fast-track refurbishment projects
- Typical project values up to £3m
- Typical programme lengths around 8 weeks
- Procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, variations
