IT Installation and Delivery Engineer

Vacancy Type: Full-time contract, Mon-Fri working. Permanent salary.

As an IT recycler and supplier of IT Services we have overseen more than 3 million devices through the IT lifecycle and, as a result, are perfectly placed to provide our customers with guidance and advice through this complex market.

We offer a huge range of additional services, such as IT spares and logistics throughout the UK, as well as datacentre and office relocations, configuration and build, bonded stock, engineers and project managers along with Greensafe Global, our hardware specialist IT brokerage service.

We’re looking for a practical, customer-focused IT Installation & Delivery Engineer to join our onsite team.

This role is primarily based around delivering, installing and collecting IT equipment at customer sites across the UK.

You’ll spend much of your time travelling, driving company vehicles, setting up PCs, monitors and peripherals, completing office moves and collecting redundant IT equipment.

You’ll need to be responsive to our customers’ needs, a good communicator, reliable, flexible and a team player.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Responsible for installation to desk
  • Ability to communicate with customers regarding newly installed items (hardware)
  • Responsible for the decommissioning of redundant equipment and furniture
  • Responsible for the disposal of customers items and adhering to safety procedures with regards to packing the items and transporting back to base.
  • Cable management
  • Fault finding and simple fixes (resolving network issues and any hardware or possible software issues)
  • PC / Laptop builds hardware and possible software
  • Ensuring that agreed Company sales targets are met monthly
  • Ability to travel to customer sites throughout the UK and Internationally, with overnight stays.
  • To foster teamwork and collaboration to achieve own and Company objectives
  • To liaise with all stakeholders positively and to put recommendations forward as appropriate in order to support the Company’s continuous improvement ethos
  • Support adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Provide daily updates on projects
  • Act as point of communication when on site (customer facing)
  • Deliver quality and professionalism in all tasks and interactions

  • Experience: Previous experience in IT installations, technical support, or workshop environments is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of IT hardware, cable management, and MPS configuration is essential.

  • Physical Requirements: Lifting and moving valuable IT assets is required; manual handling equipment will be provided.
  • Driving: Driving is an essential part of the role.
  • Travel: Overnight stays away from home may be required for certain assignments.
