This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally critical project that will have a long‑term environmental and economic impact. This is a full‑time permanent position based on site in the Leiston area.
Key responsibilities
- Leading setting‑out and engineering control for complex civils packages
- Managing and coordinating Site Engineers and subcontractors
- Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and nuclear quality standards
- Driving a strong safety culture in a highly regulated environment
- Producing and reviewing ITPs, RAMS and technical documentation
- Monitoring progress against programme and resolving technical issues
- Maintaining accurate site records, QA documentation and as‑built information
This is a long‑term role offering genuine responsibility, visibility and career progression on a flagship infrastructure project.
Qualifications
- A degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline) or experience equivalent
- Proven site engineering experience within heavy civils, ideally on major infrastructure projects
- Strong setting‑out capability using modern instruments (GPS, total station, laser levels)
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, specifications and quality processes
- Excellent communication, coordination and mentoring skills
- CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS and full UK driving licence
