Location: Ipswich/Various Sites

Hours: 07:30 – 16:00

Salary: £19–£22 per hour (DOE) + overtime (OTE £60,000+)

Role Overview

Our projects division is looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join their project team to work on major private and public projects. This role requires a result‑oriented individual who is driven and motivated to participate in the growth and continued success of EPPH business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to have a problem‑solving approach, troubleshoot a job no matter its difficulties.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Able to carry out commercial gas activities autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience to prioritise, organise and effectively achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams.
  • Strong Health and Safety values.
  • Proven experience of working on commercial plumbing systems.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Commercial gas qualifications.
  • At least 2‑3+ years of experience working commercial heating systems.
  • Current NVQ, C&G or equivalent in plumbing or heating.
  • Ability to pass Enhanced DBS checks.
  • Current Domestic & Commercial Gas qualifications – training refresher can be provided.
  • Full clean manual UK driving licence – confidential chat if there are points.
  • Must be willing to travel and stay away if required (with notice).
  • Good communication skills are a necessity for this position.
  • Committed and proactive attitude towards safety.

Desirable

  • IPAF / PASMA qualification.
  • CSCS card.
  • Current FGas Qualification.
