I am partnering exclusively with a multi-disciplinary services company who are looking for a hands-on, operationally credible General Manager to lead and shape their Remote Access & Lifting business line during an exciting period of early-stage growth. This is a foundational role, and the successful candidate will be as comfortable working in delivery as they are stepping back to build the structures, processes, and team capability needed to scale the business sustainably.

This role requires a builder — someone who can bring order and rigour to a growing business line, put the right people and processes in place, and create a platform for long-term commercial success across lifting & rigging, ATV operations, track matting, off-road logistics, and HGV/HIAB services in the infrastructure, grid, substation, and hydro sectors.

A key part of this role will be helping to establish a project management and engineering function within the business line — building the internal capability needed to pursue and deliver larger, more complex work scopes and position the company for the next stage of growth.

We require you to have a proven track record of working with Tier 1 power contractors and have a strong focus on implementation and adherence to robust processes. You will enjoy leading from the front, with 5 direct reports and reporting directly into the Operations Director.

This is a truly exciting time to join this business, with continued double-digit year on year growth. The confident expectancy is that the business will double its annual turnover in the next 2-3 years. With this role being Inverness based, we are keen to speak to the very best candidates UK wide and with this in mind will factor in a relocation package to make the transition seamless.

This role will suit someone who is ambitious, looking to take that next step in their career and be part of something unique, challenging, highly rewarding and a role that you can absolutely put your stamp on.
