As a fast‑growing Agritech innovator, we are building the future of food production—and we’d love you to join us.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in introducing new products into our global manufacturing environment while also designing and integrating the on‑site systems required for deploying IGS Growth Towers. Work across manufacturing engineering, product integration, and project delivery—collaborating with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain and Deployment teams. This is a hands‑on, diverse role ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving processes, and bringing complex systems to life.

Project & System Integration

  • Design site systems including pipework, cable routing, trunking and services layouts.
  • Produce and update 3D models, drawing packs, and BOMs.
  • Support product development activities with design enhancements, such as automation, HVAC, irrigation, robotics, LED lighting and sensing equipment.
  • Produce Statements of Work and maintain project documentation.
  • Carry out site visits, understand requirements and support installation activities (please note some international travel to customer sites is required with this role).

Manufacturing & NPI

  • Create and maintain SOPs, FATs, Work Instructions, and safe working practices.
  • Support production and deployment activities, resolving engineering issues to meet delivery targets.
  • Develop, improve and document manufacturing processes to ensure quality, safety, repeatability and efficiency.
  • Support change review panels and sign‑off ECOs.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities with suppliers using Lean methodologies (Kaizen, DFMA, FMEA, 5 Whys, RCA).

About You

Educated to a degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline (HND with strong experience also considered). Candidates have proven experience in technology manufacturing or NPI environments, ideally involving mixed electro‑mechanical assembly. An applications engineering background may also work well for this role, with the ability to troubleshoot issues. Strong 2D & 3D CAD skills; Creo, other packages (e.g. AutoCAD) welcome. This will suit candidates from other complex electro‑mechanical product or systems development companies.
